Caring for Your Kaahu

A few quiet ways to keep it well

Thank you for choosing Kaahu. Each bag is crafted with care, using natural fibers and thoughtful construction. These notes are here to help it last - gracefully and naturally, just as it was made.

Spot Clean

For small marks or spills, use a damp cloth and gentle pressure. Avoid soaps, detergents, or solvents - natural fibers respond best to a lighter touch.

Air Dry

Let your bag dry in a shaded, well-ventilated space. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat, which may cause shrinking or fading over time.

Store Thoughtfully

When not in use, store your bag in a cool, dry place. The cotton dust bag it comes with helps protect against moisture and dust, while allowing the materials to breathe.

Natural Fibers, Natural Rhythm

Kaahu pieces are made from jute and organic cotton - fibers that breathe, shift, and age with time. Keep them dry and away from prolonged humidity to preserve their texture and strength.

Mend What Matters

If your bag ever needs attention, consider repairing rather than replacing. A small mend can carry it further - and add to the story it holds.
